How To Use

1. Set Up Your Dermapen HOME™

It’s easy to get started, but it’s important to follow these quick steps before you begin:

Install the Dermapen HOME™ app.
Create an account.
Register your device to the account.

Your device comes with two DermapenWorld™ turbo-cut lithium batteries that are precharged, allowing you to perform treatments immediately.

TIP: Keep one battery on charge at all times as your backup (it takes 2 hours to fully charge).

2. Choose Your Meso-Glide™ Serum

Microneedling is best performed with a serum or cream called a Meso-Glide™.
Dermapen HOME™ creates micro-channels, which deliver active ingredients of the Meso-Glide™ into the skin-up to 80% deeper than regular topical applications.
Applying a Meso-Glide™ will also help your device to glide over the skin for a comfortable experience.
Your Dermapen HOME™ device comes with the right amount of HYLA ACTIVE™ so you can start your first procedure immediately (2-3mls is all you need).
HYLA ACTIVE™ delivers deep hydration, comfort, and repair when used on its own, or you can mix it with the following serums.

3. Thoroughly Wash Hands and Face

Cleanliness is key to effective and safe home treatments.
Make sure your surface area and pen are clean and disinfected. Have fresh hand towels or gauze ready. Dispense and pre-mix your Meso-Glide™ in a clean bowl so that it’s easy
to apply during treatments.
We recommend Dp Dermaceuticals™ TRI-PHASE CLEANSER™. Ensure skin is dry before spritzing with CLINIPREP™ for clinical standard hygiene.
Depending on skin type, you may also use CLR FOAM CLEANSER™ or MICRO DERM EXFOLIANT™.

4. Attach Sterile Needle Cartridge

With clean hands, remove Needle Cartridge from sealed blister pack. Gently insert it into Dermapen HOME™.
Turn the cartridge a quarter-turn clockwise to lock in place. It should slot in easily—don’t force, squeeze or overturn as this may damage the device or cartridge.

TIP: For your safety, needle cartridges are designed for single use. After the treatment, remove cartridge by gently rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction.
Using force to remove the cartridge may cause damage to the device.

5. Set Needle Level and Speed

Switch Dermapen HOME™ on by holding the Primary Button for 3 seconds.
Remove the protective cap from the Needle Cartridge and discard.
Use the Level Buttons on the top of the device to increase (+) or decrease (-) the needle level.
Use the Speed Buttons on the side of the device to increase (+) or decrease (-) the needle speed.

6. Apply Meso-Glide™ in Sections

Start with one section of the face at a time and ensure it’s completely covered with serum. As you progress through the treatment, liberally apply more serum to the next section. Your skin will soak up the nutrients and vitamins faster than ever!

Split the face into the following six areas to ensure a thorough treatment. Some areas may require the needle level or speed adjusted to your comfort level.

Forehead: May feel slightly sensitive, but imagine those frown lines disappearing.
Eye area: For safety, avoid needling too close to the eyes. Areas outside the orbital area, such as crow’s feet or dark circles below this delicate area, may be treated with caution.
Nose: Another sensitive area that’s often impacted by enlarged pores, blackheads, and sun damage.
Upper lip and lips: Yes, you can plump your lips, too! Lines can easily form on the upper lip when it’s overlooked during skincare routines.
Chin/jawline: Minimise pores and breakouts in this area and tighten jowls.
Cheeks: Often where signs of sagging or loose skin, uneven skin tone or texture, you can go deeper and faster on this area.

7. Start Microneedling

Glide the scalloped rim of the Needle Cartridge using an even pressure over the skin to ensure constant needle contact and distribution of the Meso-Glide™. Use stripe-like motions, lifting the needles between each stripe to avoid unnecessary reinsertions.

8. Accelerate Healing
