Masks

Masks are used to promote certain outcomes for skin like decongestion, refining, hydrating and soothing. These are the main characteristics of Masks. They are often applied for 20 minutes after cleansing and then rinsed off thoroughly followed by your desired hydration regime. However if a Mask is not active or drying (contains clay based ingredients, AHA’s, BHA’s, Retinol or other acids) then it can be left on overnight. These Masks are called Sleep Masks and can be used weekly or twice weekly as your night time moisturiser. The rule of thumb is that if they don’t tingle when applied but are designed to lavishly hydrate then they can be left on all night.
